International Symposium of KÖSTER BAUCHEMIE AG

Aurich, June 16, 2025From July 9 to 12, KÖSTER BAUCHEMIE AG will be hosting an international conference on building protection in Aurich.

Building protection is an essential contribution to sustainable management. Waterproofing and thermal insulation, for example, can prevent demolition and enable high-quality new use. This is what the participants of the International Symposium 2025 at KÖSTER will be discussing.  Topics include "Modern building materials in monument protection", "Reflective, white flat roofs for climate protection" and the waterproofing of mega drinking water reservoirs in Qatar in times of climate change.

This year's speakers come from New Zealand, the Netherlands, Portugal, Panama, Qatar, Jordan, the USA, Canada and Germany.

"A special highlight will be the presentation by our guest speaker Dr. Aditi Bunker," says CEO Dr. Dieter Köster. "Dr. Bunker is an epidemiologist and coordinates the working group "Climate Change and Health Interventions" at the Heidelberg Institute of Global Health,
University Hospital Heidelberg. She is particularly concerned with the health risks posed by overheating in residential buildings and will inform us about possible solutions using so-called cool roofs."

"Thanks to the exchange between our sales partners from so many countries, new solutions in building protection can be disseminated more quickly in many international markets. Building protection helps to save large amounts of raw materials and energy," says Dr. Dieter Köster.
